Matthew Bourda

Attorney

Mr. Bourda was born and raised in Houston and attended law school at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston where he was the Editor-In-Chief of the Law Review.  His undergraduate degree is from Tulane University.

Prior to joining The Lane Law Firm, Mr. Bourda was an Associate Attorney at the Acosta Law Firm where one of his primary interests was bankruptcy.

Mr. Bourda clerked at Haynes Law and Baker & Associates while attending law school.  He also was a Judicial Intern in the 309th Family District Court for the Honorable Sheri Dean, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas with the Honorable Jeff Bohm and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas with the Honorable Kenneth M. Hoyt.  He also was a Law Clerk with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas.

While in law school, Mr. Bourda participated with the Law Journal Toy Drive and the Houston Bar Association Habitat for Humanity build.

While in law school, Mr. Bourda was Editor-In-Chief of the 2015-2016 Law Review, made the Dean's List and received the CALI Award for highest grade in Domestic Relations.  He was a Thurgood Marshall School of Law Ambassador and a member of the Garland Walker Inn of Court.
