The Lane Law Firm | Jun 15, 2022
If MCA lenders are harassing you with phone calls, there are two ways to stop it. If you’re getting harassing calls, texts, emails, or even office calls, and your employees have learned that you’ve fallen behind or defaulted on payments, you need to take immediate, proactive action.
Unless you can quickly pay these off, you're going to have to go into some sort of settlement or alternative payment method to resolve the debt. Discover what to do if a merchant cash advance lender is harassing you.
How to Stop Your Merchant Cash Advance Company from Harassing You
There are two primary ways to stop harassing calls, a non-bankruptcy solution and a bankruptcy solution.
The Non-Bankruptcy Solution
The non-bankruptcy solution involves getting an attorney to intervene between you and the MCA lender. The attorney handles the calls instead.
The second option is to file a suit. If you've been sued or your business has been sued, you need to immediately contact a local attorney. If the calls don't stop, you may need to be proactive and file a suit.
The Bankruptcy Solution
The last option, the most extreme option, is bankruptcy. Maybe it's personal, maybe it's business. Either bankruptcy option will bring an immediate end with federal protections if creditors are harassing you and trying to collect from you.
